STRING THEORY CRITICISM

STRING THEORY - 5

Like the Multiverse, also the String Theory is subject to various criticisms, especially given its apparent absurdity and impossible verifiability.

The first is precisely that it is impossible to obtain experimental results in support or against the theory, even if it is expected that new and more precise measurements of the Cosmic Background Radiation can give the first indirect confirmations. However, it must be considered that it is a developing theory, and like all hypotheses at this stage, it is normal or to not be verifiable.

Furthermore, it is not falsifiable, meaning that it is not possible, starting from its premises, to produce an experiment that can prove the entire theory is false.

Indeed, much of the scientific world has always been very sceptical of the theory and several scientists have expressed scepticism about a theory. Indeed, even after thirty years of experiments it has not yet proved anything and its proponents continue to shift paradigms to explain its experimental failures. It would therefore be a fashion or a faith, more than a scientific theory, a hypothesis that aims more at mathematical beauty than being connected with physical reality.

Finally, because of the mathematical models still in use, String Theory ends up describing 10500 reproductions of the universe, each with its own physical laws and constants.
